Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We are back to scheduling complete eye exams, routine exams, and we are also scheduling elective procedures. We are now open Monday to Saturday and extended schedules for your convenience. Thank you for entrusting Visionary Eye Doctors with your vision care needs. As healthcare providers, we remain open so that we can continue to serve our community during these unprecedented times. We are taking extreme precautions to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Our goal is to ensure your safety.

To keep you And our staff safe, we made the following changes:

  • We are requiring that all patients wear a mask during their visit. Please don’t forget yours
  • We are monitoring  temperatures of patients and staff prior to entering the office.
  • We reduced and spaced out our schedule to limit the number of people in the office.
  • We are allowing only one guest for patients with special needs or pediatric patients.  Otherwise, we are requiring patients to enter the office alone, companion should wait in the car.
  • We reorganized  waiting rooms for maximum space between patients and abide by social distancing.
  • We increased our frequency of sanitizing and cleansing of our office furniture, surfaces and all medical equipment.
  • We have implemented a strict hand hygiene and surface cleaning protocol in the office.
  • We are offering telemedicine and telehealth appointments for most patients who can’t make it to our offices.
  • We  removed all magazines and coffee stations in our office to reduce the spread of any bacteria or virus.
  • We have 6ft markers throughout the office to promote social distancing.
  • Our staff will be wearing masks and gloves.
  • We offer premobile check in to reduce face-to-face interaction with patients in office and Virtual waiting rooms to reduce the number of people in the office waiting room!

How to Protect Yourself While you are in our office, we ask you to kindly:

  • Please wear a mask or face covering while you are in our office
  • Wash your hand with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people that are sick.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth cover or mask when around others.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw away the tissue in trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Wear your glasses instead of contacts to reduce your risk of touching your face and eyes.
  • Please save all your questions until after the slit lamp examination is done by your doctor.
  • Use hand sanitizer (they are available to you in our front desk areas).

Scheduling guidelines:

  • Any patient experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath needs to contact their primary care provider before making an appointment.
  • Any patient that has traveled to the “hot zones” or has been exposed to someone who has, is recommended to hold off on their appointment and reschedule for another time.
  • Any patient who is 65 or older is recommended to hold off on their appointment at this time and reschedule for later.
