VED will be open the week of 05/04/20-05/9/2020 for selective, urgent and emergency appointments only. For the safety of our patients and staff we are limiting, and downsizing operations, and only keeping essential staff members on-site. We are also closing our satellites offices most days, and cancelling all elective surgery for the next two weeks. Please keep in mind that our schedules might change. We will keep you updated. VED doctors consider eye care is essential, and while we continue to be open during the Coronavirus outbreak, we are also taking extreme precautions to keep our patients and staff safe. The following video will show you the precautions taken at Visionary Eye Doctors to keep you safe. As a patient you may notice the following changes:
- We are following strict scheduling guidelines. We are limiting our schedules to emergencies and urgent visits
- The Front doors to our office will remain open, and a front desk representative will greet you at the entrance. An in-office screening will be done to ask about recent traveling to “hot zones” and also check your temperature prior to entrance
- At this time we will only allow patients to come into the office, any other companions will be asked to please wait in the car, unless a companion is necessary for mobility or other reasons, or if the patient is a child.
- We have available bottles of hand sanitizers in our Front Desk areas, along with masks, and tissues for patients to use.
- We are abiding to social distancing guidelines by spreading the chairs in our waiting and patient areas with 6 feet in between them. This will also prevent having more than 8-10 people per area
- We have implemented a strict hand hygiene and surface cleaning protocols throughout the office
- Our staff members will be wearing masks. Its for everyone’s safety
- Scheduling of patients is spaced out, to minimize the number of people at the office at one time.
How to Protect Yourself While you are in our office, we ask you to kindly:
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
- Throw uses tissues in the trash
- Please save all your questions until after the slit lamp examination.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Use hand sanitizer (they are available to you in our front desk areas)
- Please don’t hesitate to ask for facemasks or tissues.
Scheduling guidelines:
- Any patient experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath needs to contact their primary care provider before making an appointment.
- Any patient that has traveled to the “hot zones” or has been exposed to someone who has, is recommended to hold off on their appointment and reschedule for another time.
- Any patient who is 65 or older is recommended to hold off on their appointment at this time and reschedule for later.
